The Small Business Owner’s Guide to the CARES Act

Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act)
All employers are required to post, or in some circumstances email, a notice to employees regarding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, before the Act goes into effect on April 1, 2020.

This Act requires private employers with at least 2 employees to provide employees with paid sick leave for reasons related to COVID-19. In addition, new legislation has made millions of dollars available through the SBA for employers in need of loans to sustain operations, including funds necessary for payment of invoices and for payroll. These loans may be forgivable.
